Sales Engineer (GN) for the Japanese market

Location Hamburg / Full time

In this position you will be responsible for the sales growth of renowned japanese OEMs and distributors. The challenging mix of tasks includes the assessment of customer needs, creation of offers, and negotiation of contracts for existing and new customers.

Responsibilities.

  • You are responsible for the sales of well-known Japanese customers.
  • The demanding mix of tasks includes determining the needs of existing and new customers, as well as preparing offers and negotiating contracts.
  • You plan your trips independently and travel to Japan approximately every 2 months to visit customers on site. The usual travel time is around a week.
  • SYou report directly to the Asia Region Manager and play a key role in determining the strategy for customer acquisition in Japan.

Requirements.

  • As a prerequisite for successfully servicing the Japanese market, we see Japanese language skills at native speaker level and a precise understanding of Japanese (business) culture.
  • We are very international, with 12 different nationalities working in sales in Hamburg alone, which is why we communicate a lot in English. Accordingly, you should have a good command of English.
  • You have already gained experience in actively acquiring Japanese customers and traveling in Japan.
